Goal Setting - Your Goal Is More Important Than the Route You Take to Get There

Goal Setting - Your Goal Is More Important Than the Route You Take to Get There

Goal Setting - Your Goal Is More Important Than the Route You Take to Get There
By Carrie Greene

When I set out for my walk today, I had several very specific goals in mind. I wanted to walk for about an hour, cover about 4 miles, and get some inspiration along with fresh air. Based on my goals, I created a plan. I would drive to a large wooded "reservation" near my home. I plotted the path I would take. I would start by walking through the woods toward a paved path, do the loop on that path, and finally circle back along the road to my car.

I parked my car and headed to the path that would take me through the wooded area. It's right next to a dog park. There were five people walking with their dogs along the path that I was about to turn onto. I don't have a dog and frankly, didn't want the company. How was it that, before I even began, my plan wasn't working out right?

Entrepreneurs and goal setting

The reason I'm sharing this story is because I see this happening every day to the entrepreneurs I speak with. Goals are set, plans are made, and then something goes wrong. They don't get the results they expected. They hit a roadblock They realize that an assumption they made was wrong. How does my experience today relate?

When I realized that I my plan wasn't going the way I wanted it to I had a choice. I needed to decide which was more important to me, my plan, or my goal. Since my goal was more important to me, I needed to find another way.

I decided to continue along a different path through the woods. This meant that I would not meet up with the paved path, and I wasn't exactly sure where the path I chose would take me. I gave myself permission to be comfortable in knowing that I would still get what I needed, even though my path had changed.

As I walked, I saw things I didn't expect to see, and these unexpected sights generated ideas I didn't anticipate having (including this article). The route through the woods was much rockier than the path I had initially mapped out. I lost my footing a few times and quickly regained my balance without falling.

As I continued, I kept thinking about how different the walk I was taking was from the walk I had planned. When I got to back to my car I had walked for about an hour, covered approximately 4 miles, and I got inspiration along with fresh air. In other words, I accomplished exactly what I set out to do - I just did it in a different way, using an unexpected path to get there.

One thing that I know is that as a business owner you set many goals and make plans to get you there. Some are long-term, others short-term. What all of these plans have in common is that they never seem to go as you expect them to.

The important part of your plan is the goal you set, not the route you take to reach that goal. Along the way you are likely going to run into obstacles. You may find yourself lost, or not really sure where you're going or what you are doing. You may make a mistake or slip and fall. The important thing is to keep going, because that's the only way you'll get there.

To wrap this up I'd like to share something my dad and I always said. "All roads lead to where you're going."

It really doesn't matter if you make a right or a left turn along the way; at the end, as long as you keep going, you will get where you wanted to go.

What are you doing to keep yourself moving along the road that you're on?

When Elvis Was King

When Elvis Was King

When Elvis Was King
By Dr. Tim G Williams

It is this time of year when the chill of winter starts to subside I begin to think like my father. Then and today we remember times of a bye-gone era where everything moved at a much slower pace. For my farther those times were his yesterdays years. The years of silent movies, where Rudolf Valentino made women swoon. A period where the Flapper fashion was all the rage. But, it was my grandfather who objected to the newly discovered Jazz movement that was sweeping over the country. For my father and all those young ladies the Jazz age brought newfound freedom not associated with the ridged tradition of the pre war Victorian Age. The nation was rebounding from the Great War and renewed prosperity made life carefree and easy. The days of jazz, the charleston, and bathtub gin.

My grandfather whose objection to jazz was manifested out of the perception that this new music trend would corrupt the morals of our society. But, it was my father then who found the Flapper girls and the music of jazz epitomized the mood that was sweeping over the country. Some years latter I come along and now it is my father who sounded just like my grandfather thinking that the music of my generation would corrupt the morals of our society. Music that moved a generation, music that made Elvis king became the embodiment of a nation rebuilding after World War II.

But, for me it was the time when Elvis was really King. The good old days as my grandfather and father recalled. And yes, I too am proud to say those were the days. Days I thought they would never end. Endless summer days that now are precious memories that have aged like fine wine. A kaleidoscope of recollections come into conscious thought always to reoccur every now and then. Now, as I rest in my easy chair gazing out my window thoughts of my yesterdays years come into my consciousness.

It was the summer of '59, the Chicago White Sox were ahead in the American League and I was in my Little league prime as I recall. Elvis ruled the pop charts even though he was stationed in Germany. But, it was that glorious summer so vivid in memory brings to mind that the modern age of the 21st century may have some drawbacks that are keeping this world of ours from realizing just how fortunate my grandfather and father were in certain periods of their lives. Both in their simplicity of two distinct eras where an older generation was so convinced that the trends of the day whether it was in music or fashion would utterly corrupt the moral fabric of society.

As that summer of '59 waned the friendships I forged would last a lifetime. And contrary to the beliefs of my grandfather and father the moral fiber of our society didn't capitulate until years latter. But, questions have always surfaced as to why now in the 21st century the moral fabric of American society has succumbed to the pressures of a sociological shift that is unlike any in my lifetime?

When Elvis was king, sure many of us didn't behave like angles but that's not to say that what our youth are exposed to today is a far cry from what we were exposed to during my coming of age years of the 1950's and early 1960's. Many can point out to the tragedy of November 22, 1963 followed by the British invasion of the Beatles were probably two of the more significant occurrences that began Americas great sociological shift. By the late 60's changes in our educational system were uprooting the traditional educational policies that exemplified Americas dominance in education following World War II right up until 1970. A more permissive and pervasive attitude ensued which subsequently lowered educational standards so that today we are just now realizing just what we have done to education right after my collegiate years.

A sociological shift where each generation brings with it cultural trends where much of which is based on music of the times. In the 50's and early 60's it was Elvis who began his career in the mid-1950s, and soon became the king of the newly popular sound of rock and roll. His energized interpretations of songs, many from African American sources, and his uninhibited performance style made him enormously popular and controversial during that period. Influencing not only the music industry but fashion as well. It seems that for every generation there is certain types of musical trends that are influencers of fashion and social behavior.

By the dawning of the mid 1970's the reign of Elvis was over and with it brought a new acceptance to ever evolving musical trends. And, of course with innovative music brought sociological behavior and fashion changes that were embraced by a new generation. Unfortunately though the sociological behavior trends with each advent of innovative music have succumbed to what my grandfather and father thought would happen. The moral fiber of our society now has been corrupted by the very industry that made Elvis king.

The corruption has spread to our political system where today some of our more influential politicians have succumbed to behavior that is unfitting to their stature in our society. We as a nation have been silently and unbeknownst to the public through an acceptance of social behavior influenced by the musical trends have been moving in a direction far removed from the accepted norm when Elvis was King. We as a nation will forever be trapped in a whirlwind of moral decay until our society realizes we have allowed sociological behavior trends to corrupt the moral fiber of our society.

Kings Were Empowered Through Religious Lies

Kings Were Empowered Through Religious Lies

Kings Were Empowered Through Religious Lies
By Norma Holt

The power of kings to dominate societies has lessened in recent times. People were freed from the scourge of their willingness to make war and take the lives of those who disobeyed them thanks to the 2 world wars of the last century and the revolt against them. Starting with the French Revolution and the execution of the royal family the stage was set to rid the world of the menace. Those who survived have had their powers cut and their status reduced to a figure-head rather than a god.

It was as the latter, however, that they came to be in the first place. With a claim that they were ordained by God as Sons of God and, therefore, had the power of a divine person meant that they could not be touched or even looked upon by the general public. That is why those who meet a monarch have to bow or curtsy while not so long ago one had to close their eyes or avert them.

It was behaviour based on pretence that the glow of the sun was present in their person and could blind anyone who gazed at them. This shows that religions are based on sun worship because these heads of government were and some still are also head of their religions.

So what has changed? People power has meant that the dream is up and yet the religions remain. They are still the same and even the Pope is crowned king of the Catholic Church. This is because of the wall of blindness that prevails.

Following my reincarnation and with a link to the Spirit of the Universe, the only God, it commissioned me to tear down that wall and bring in the harvest. We are at the end of days and a time when the truth was promised to spill over the world. That is happening now through the Internet, the Mountain of God prophesied to appear at this time (Micah 4:1).

The lies of religion that have empowered kings are fading and their demise was inevitable as part of the new system that is taking over. The wall is crumbling and the harvest is ready to be gathered in.

Reincarnation is fact and everyone is back to be judged according to the gods they worship. They are turning to the Mountain of God for answers and the light is now flooding into the dark world.

Creating Summertime Memories With Our Kids

Creating Summertime Memories With Our Kids

Creating Summertime Memories With Our Kids
By Gayla Grace

My fondest memories of summertime fun as a child include picking homegrown blackberries and catching fireflies in the backyard of our temporary home one summer in Charlottesville, Virginia. My father was a visiting professor at the University of Virginia, where we relocated for six weeks. My three sisters and I found plenty to do as we explored unknown grounds, creating our own games as we entertained each other. We made jam from carefully picked blackberries, proud to savor our homemade delight, as we enjoyed warm days and long evenings with one another as a family.

Summer is a great time to create lasting memories with our kids. We don't need to spend a lot of money or create grandeur events, but we do have to invest time in doing activities together. No matter where you live, you can find free or minimal cost activities to enjoy. While living in Arkansas, we've found a variety of no cost activities that include exploring caves at Devil's Den State Park to driving along Mount Magazine Scenic byway to the highest peak in Arkansas, at 2753 feet. Other ideas include riding a ferry across Bull Shoals Lake or digging for diamonds at the only public diamond mine in the world, Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro, AR.

Simple activities create as many memories as elaborate vacations. Stargazing in the backyard while savoring an ice cream cone or fishing at the local water hole provides hours of effortless fun. Simplicity allows less stress in planning and enjoying time together. As kids get older, they appreciate taking part in making plans and including their friends in activities, creating memories with others outside the family also.

When I was growing up, we enjoyed a week at Lake LBJ in South Texas every summer with several families from our church. We anxiously awaited the trip toward the end of the school year, anticipating the fun and camaraderie shared with friends and family. Memories from those trips include flying cockroaches in the cabins, and too many meals of beans and cornbread, but we shared unforgettable times of water skiing, tubing, sunbathing, and nighttime board games with one another.

We create memories when we connect with those we love in activities we enjoy. And even if our planned activities don't turn out as we planned, we will remember the time spent together. When my husband and I took our children snow skiing for the first time, our youngest child, who was only four years old at the time, came down with a fever virus. Through pouted lips, she complained of not being allowed to join the others on the slopes, missing the fun of a new activity we had so carefully planned as a family. Finally, the last day of the trip, we allowed her to play in the snow, creating snow angels with her siblings. She quickly forgot about the ski slopes and enjoyed hours of fun in the snow. When we talk about that trip, our kids remember a lot of good times, despite an unexpected illness.

Leisurely summer days provide opportunity for special memories to be created with grandparents. Our children's grandparents live out of state so we take advantage of summer days for extended visits and vacations together. Grandparents enjoy a slower pace and easily find things to do with their grandkids that are warmly remembered such as: flying kites, playing cards, or looking for frogs. Grandparents can also share their own memories, allowing our children to understand their heritage and how values are formed and passed from one generation to another.

And don't forget to capture those favorite memories on film. Activities with loved ones can be enjoyed over and over again through videos and pictures. My family recently celebrated my sister's wedding engagement and while together, reminisced of my parent's 50th wedding anniversary, scouring through picture albums with loved ones. To help acquaint my sister's fiance with the family, we introduced pictures of family members not there, with accompanying stories. It was a fun time of celebrating family memories of years' past.

Memories play a critical role in securing our identity with our loved ones. So, before the promise of summer fun fades into the sunset, gather your loved ones, plan an activity and make time to spend with one another. You'll treasure the memories created that will be enjoyed for years to come.

Making Garden Art and Statuary

Making Garden Art and Statuary

Making Garden Art and Statuary
By Aarron Barry

Think outdoor garden, and beautiful plants, ornamental trees, flowering shrubs and rolling lawns come to mind. The mind's eye may not immediately envisage concrete statuary or even benches, pavers, stepping stones and the like.

However, any garden worth its name - be it in a small backyard or a sprawling turf - is quite incomplete without attractive concrete artworks. While statues, animal sculptures, gnomes, fairies, gargoyles and birdbaths add to the landscape and look quite becoming, other concrete items such as benches, urns, plaques and pavers are quite elementary to the garden scheme.

Indeed, the lush foliage of a garden gets an added charm and texture with garden art and statuary. Most of these items are cast in concrete as it is sturdy and durable.

This brings us to the question of first making molds for these concrete casts. Which mold making materials will be suitable for casting concrete? Let's take a look:

Liquid latex rubber - This has emerged as the mold making material of choice for casting concrete garden articles. It is flexible, long-lasting, maintains details well and most importantly, can easily resist the abrasive nature of concrete. The cheap price and easy availability further adds to the preference of using latex rubber. It is generally used for making larger pieces.

Polyurethanes - Latex rubber comes with one major drawback. Making the mold is a lengthy and cumbersome process involving repetitive coats of the liquid latex (at least 12 to 15 coats) with long breaks in between to allow every successive coat to dry. This is why many mold makers prefer to use polyurethanes for the task. It may be a bit expensive and necessitates application of a mold release also, but the ease and speed of use coupled with the low set time work in its favor. However, polyurethanes are still preferred for making molds of small pieces only.

Silicone rubber - This is another suitable mold making product, put the high cost limits its use for small items such as plaques only.

Concrete casts

Once the molds are ready, it is time to move to casting concrete. Use weather-proof concrete mix and dilute it with water to get the desired consistency. Slowly pour the concrete into the mold in a long and thin stream to avoid air bubbles as much as possible. Tap it around or shake the mold a bit to bring any remaining air bubbles to the surface.

Once all the trapped air is popped, allow the cast to cure for a day or two. The concrete will slowly harden to form a solid and durable cast that can be immediately installed outside in the garden.

However, it is advisable to seal the porous concrete with an appropriate sealant such as latex rubber, polyurethane, epoxy or acrylic. This will also protect your artwork from cracking in the long run.

An eye-catching garden with striking garden art awaits you!

Acne Sucks! Get Rid of It Forever

Acne Sucks! Get Rid of It Forever

Acne Sucks! Get Rid of It Forever
By Aleeka Lokeman

Acne can lead to anxiety, low self-esteem and depression. To get rid of acne, you have to take the right supplements, avoid the wrong foods, and use the right products on your skin.

Zinc

Hormone imbalances can lead to acne. Zinc regulates the hormones in your body. There have been many studies done that show that zinc levels in people with acne are lower than people with clear skin. Taking zinc can reduce acne by up to 50%. Zinc reduces the production of (DHT) dihydrotestosterone. DHT is one of the androgens that contribute to the hormonal cause of acne. Zinc effectively stops the root cause of acne breakouts.

Probiotics

Many studies have shown that patients with moderate acne that took probiotics had significant improvement in their acne. Probiotics improved acne by reducing sebum content and decreasing skin inflammation due to its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory activities. If you take probiotics, you will see a significant improvement in your skin. Do not take any probiotics that include dairy like yogurt since dairy products have been linked to acne. I recommend that you take probiotics in pill form. I also take the probiotic drink Kevita, which is sold in grocery stores.

MSM

Taking the supplement MSM will soften the skin, improve the permeability of the skin and help clear pores. MSM contains sulfur, also known as the "beauty mineral." MSM helps prevent the breakout of acne by controlling the rate of keratin production and inhibiting the effect of androgens, such as DHT. MSM is very effective in treating acne.

Vitamin D

Vitamin D activates macrophages, a kind of white blood cell. Macrophages attack acne bacteria head on, helping to eliminate any trace of acne. If you can't get enough Vitamin D from sunshine, I recommend that you take 1000 IU of Vitamin D3.

Lecithin and Garlic

I take the supplement Kyolic that contains both lecithin and garlic. Lecithin nourishes the skin and attacks acne, whiteheads and blackheads. The antibacterial and antioxidant properties of garlic help prevent and get rid of acne. All of the Kyolic products contain both of these acne fighting properties.

Foods not to eat

Stay far away from dairy! There is a direct link between acne and dairy. If you have acne prone skin, avoid all dairy. Dairy contains hormones that increase sebum production. Dairy is one of the most inflammatory foods you can consume. Additional foods that you should stay away from include eggs, chocolate and nuts. Try to avoid sugar, grains, processed foods, vegetable oils, caffeine and alcohol. Vegetables you should avoid include broccoli and mushrooms.

Skincare products

According to research, five of the most common skin bacteria responsible for acne can't survive when you apply jojoba oil to your skin. Jojoba oil is very effective at healing acne and inflamed skin. Jojoba oil easily absorbs deep into the skin without clogging pores or making the skin feel greasy. Jojoba oil is anti bacterial, so it kills the bacterial infection that causes acne. Jojoba oil is a popular acne remedy to get rid of acne on facial skin.

Eat healthy, follow these tips and you will see your acne clear up. You can look forward to beautiful clear skin!

Check out my website http://www.winkable.net to see the skincare products that I use on my acne prone skin. If you have products that you use, please post them on winkable.net and provide your review.

New Ways to Get Noticed in Network Marketing

New Ways to Get Noticed in Network Marketing New Ways to Get Noticed in Network Marketing
By Rachel E Spencer
If you are just starting out in network marketing, there is a ton of information you will come across. Network marketing makes you wear a number of different hats, however, the one hat you will need is the ability to market yourself well. Not only do you want to market yourself in order to attract customers, you also need to be able to attract your down-line. Here are some great ways that you can use marketing to make sure people know who you are.
First, you have to start using social media. If you are not using this method of marketing, you are missing out. And there are plenty of network marketers missing out. If you want people to notice you on these sites, you have to offer them some interesting information that they cannot get anywhere else. You will also have to establish yourself as an expert by sharing information that is relevant to people and what they want to read about.
Next, you should consider using video. Video is arguably the most effective way for you to really reach the market you want to reach. Many people are reluctant to show their face online, but when you create a video, you show prospective customers and down-line associates that you are brave. Not only that, but they can get a better picture of you. By doing so you will put yourself far above all the other network marketers who do not know that video marketing is a good idea.
You may also decide to go offline. Think about who could most use your product, or think about who can sign up under you offline. Other network marketers in your industry many not have access to the people in your area, and you will put yourself in a unique position if you try to recruit and sell in your own neighbourhood. People may be more likely to sign up with you, or purchase your product, because of the hometown connection.
You might also try marketing through mobile phones. Mobile marketing is one of the newest ways you can do marketing, and many marketers are not using this opportunity. Most people have cellphones nowadays, so it is a smart idea to reach them where you can.
Start a blog. Some network marketers do not realize jut how helpful a blog can be to their success. After all, with a blog you can talk about anything you choose to. That way, you can present yourself as an expert, and you can also address concerns and issues that prospective customers and recruits have. If you update regularly, you give people a chance to really warm up to you and get an idea of who you are and what you are about. That will make you more likely to make a sale or sign up a recruit.
Now that you have had time to sit and read through the information that has been presented here, you can do the work of marketing yourself. Marketing yourself does not have to be difficult when you have the help of the tips in this article. Use each of these tips and find out which work the best and gives you the best results. Spotify bets on debt to fund expansion

If you're not interested in the exact terms, the summary is that Spotify has locked itself into a contract that will start getting much more costly after 12 months. After two years, for example, that $1 billion cash injection could cost the company some $1.25 billion worth of shares and more than $100 million in interest -- it's in the company's best interest, then, to go public sooner rather than later.
As for what the money could be used for, the official line is that it'll be spent on growth and marketing. While the latter term is clear, what exactly "growth" entails is nebulous. An acquisition of an embattled rival service like Pandora has been posited -- such a deal would likely have to involve ramping up more debt or handing over equity, though. Recode's Peter Kafka suggests it could be used to purchase more rights to expand the company's efforts in video. The final, less interesting option, would be that the company is just making sure it has enough money to compete with Apple Music. It has a considerable lead over that service, but Apple's coffers run very deep (even if they're shallower than many suggest).
Whatever the reason, Spotify had "more than $600 million left" in the bank before the new cash injection, according to The Wall Street Journal. Adding another billion to that figure gives the company a considerable war chest for the year ahead.

Wage Inflation and the Problem With Minimum Wage Laws

Wage Inflation and the Problem With Minimum Wage Laws

Wage Inflation and the Problem With Minimum Wage Laws
By Lance Winslow

Hasn't anyone ever studied economics 101 or run an actual business? That is the question I ask myself when I hear of government legislators attempting to dictate wages in the free-market. Of course, legislators have ulterior motives namely; promising people higher pay is a way to get more votes; and, if people make more money, they pay more taxes which grows the size of government and increases the power base of politicians. But what happens when wages are raised?

It's simple really the price of everything goes up. Food costs, carwashes, restaurants, and anything you buy from a retail company or services company, as those companies have to charge more to cover those increased costs. But you say; "well, if they raise the prices too much, I won't shop there!" Right, power to the consumer, good for you, except for one thing, if you don't shop there and others also stop shopping there then the company or small business will go out of business or close stores, thus, fire those employees who now will rely on the government for their basics, and so taxes go up too. When taxes go up you have less to spend, even though the prices of everything have increased - result you have less money, fewer people are working, less tax base, so the government goes into debt or raises taxes again in a vicious downward spiral - happy so far?

There was an interesting segment on ABC Eye Witness News Channel 7 in Los Angeles lately titled; "Deal Reached to Hike California Minimum Wage to $15 an Hour" on March 26, 2016 which stated; "

"California legislators and labor unions on Saturday reached a tentative agreement that will take the state's minimum wage from $10 to $15 an hour, a state senator said, a move that would make for the largest statewide minimum in the nation by far. Sen. Mark Leno, D-San Francisco, who stressed that the deal was not yet finalized, told The Associated Press the proposal would go before the Legislature as part of his minimum-wage bill that stalled last year. Leno said the deal would avoid taking the issue to the ballot. One union-backed initiative has already qualified for the ballot, and a second, competing measure is also trying to qualify."

It seems to me that government politicians should not be allowed to serve in the government unless they've run a small business or have taken a few basic economics classes, and I don't mean from silly socialist professors at the University. Please think on this and vote appropriately.

Why Gold’s Fund Flows Surged Last Week

Why Gold Prices Have Hinged on the Dollar (Part 3 of 3)
Why Gold’s Fund Flows Surged Last Week By Meera Shawn  • Mar 30, 2016 10:54 am EDT Gold’s fund flows
Gold saw strong inflows last week even as its safe-haven appeal faded with the rise of the US dollar and the fall of commodities. The inflows to gold-related ETFs continued, suggesting confidence in the bullion markets. The SPDR Gold Shares ETF (GLD) and the iShares Gold Trust (IAU) have risen in 2016 in tandem with gold prices. These two funds have risen 17.1% each on a YTD (year-to-date) basis. On Thursday, March 24, GLD’s holdings rose to their highest level since December 2013 to reach 26.5 million ounces.
Why Gold’s Fund Flows Surged Last WeekEnlarge Graph South-African miners rise
According to data from the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission, money managers increased their bullish bets on gold following the Brussels attack, with gold rising nearly 1% on safe-haven demand.
The miners that have risen since the beginning of 2016 due to the rise in precious metals include Sibanye Gold (SBGL), Gold Fields (GFI), and AngloGold Ashanti (AU). These three South-African miners have risen 158%, 43.6%, and 96.5%, respectively, on a YTD basis. These miners have mostly benefited from the weakness in their domestic currency, the rand, against the US dollar. These three miners make up 10.6% of the Market Vectors Gold Miners ETF (GDX).
According to data released by the International Monetary Fund on Friday, March 25, Russia and Kazakhstan added to their bullion reserves in February, while Malaysia and Turkey cut their bullion reserves.

What Is Leadership and Who Is a Leader?

What Is Leadership and Who Is a Leader?

What Is Leadership and Who Is a Leader?
By Ozgur Yilmazel

Leadership is the ability of an individual to motivate a group of people towards a common goal. It can be called as a process of influencing and providing an environment for them to achieve team or organizational objective.

There are seven common characteristics of leadership:

  • The ability to define and, communicate a vision and motivate a team (to deliver).
  • The ability to build trust, respect and create a culture of execution.
  • The ability to listen, learn and respond.
  • The ability to attract, retain and nurture the best people and have them work as a team
  • An insistence on analytical rigor in evaluating the nature of the problem.
  • Ensuring that dissenting voices are heard and a range of options are explored.
  • A willingness to make a decision after having looked at all the options, and then insisting on good execution and timely feedback.

There is a big difference between a manager and a leader. As first; while the managers have subordinates, the leaders have followers. Management is about processes, therefore, the focus is on planning, communication & control. However, leadership is about behavior, so the focus is on building trust and inspiring people.

Leadership Qualities

  • Core human competencies (Integrity, Honesty, Sincerity, Passion, Confidence)
  • The ability to define and communicate a vision.
  • The ability to energize teams around a mission.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration capabilities.
  • Execution competence (Leading by example).

Leadership focus on "the right people, the right culture, building trust, confidence and a rhythm of execution"

Focus on the Right People

  • Get the right people in the right jobs
  • Make sure everybody counts and everybody knows that they count
  • Understand where real value is added

Focus on the Right Culture

  • Listen, learn and respond
  • Set a tone of communication and collaboration
  • An informal atmosphere can be a competitive advantage
  • Work and still have fun

Focus on Building Trust, Confidence, and a Rhythm of Execution

  • Win the trust of people. Be honest. Listen, learn and respond.
  • Build confidence in the plan and road map.
  • Communicate where we are going, why we are going there and how we will get there.
  • Lead people to achieve execution excellence. Create a culture of performance and execution.

Approaches to Leadership:

- Laissez-Faire Leadership

This type of leader has little direction over the group.

They give no certain instructions and do not oversee what is being accomplished within the group.

- Authoritarian Leadership

This type of leader is the expert of the group.

They know exactly what is to be done and how it should be done.

They are often used when a job must be completed in a timely fashion.

- Democratic Leadership

This type of leadership leaves room for equality of all group members.

Each person's ideas are valued and considered.

- Pragmatic Leadership

Pragmatic leadership can be defined as a mixture of democratic and authoritarian leadership approaches.

There is opportunity for everyone, yet the leader has a definite way of doing things.

- Action-centered leadership (Focus on effective management)

It includes:

- Planning (Seeking information, defining tasks, setting aims, allocating tasks, and setting standards)

- Controlling (Maintaining standards, ensuring progress, ongoing decision making)

- Supporting (Encouraging team spirit, reconciling, increasing morale)

- Informing (Clarifying tasks and plans, updating, receiving feedback and interpreting)

- Evaluating (Considering the feasibility of ideas, performance, enabling self-assessment)

Why You Must Ask A Leader, How He Will ACHIEVE?

Why You Must Ask A Leader, How He Will ACHIEVE?

Why You Must Ask A Leader, How He Will ACHIEVE?
By Richard Brody

Empty rhetoric and promises may get certain candidates elected, but rarely does this behavior ever transform to meaningful, effective difference? We often hear voters complain, after the fact, that someone who they voted for, did not fulfill his promises, yet, what is often overlooked (either because they are naive, or prefer to behave as if they were duped), is every voter, must feel responsible personally, to take a longer look, and delve deeply into what is being promised. A great leader must under-promise, and over-deliver, yet most politicians, proceed in the opposite way! Therefore, you should ask, how someone will ACHIEVE his promises. This should be even more obvious at the present time, because of the degree of hype and empty promises, going on during the present election cycle, especially by certain candidates!

1. Actions; activities; aims: What actions will you take, and how will you get things achieved? What activities might help get you where you want and need to be? If you could get everything you want, what would you aim to do, and why?

2. Clarity; cooperative: How clear is your message? How clearly do you visualize and understand what exists, and what needs to be? Will you be a polarizing or a unifying leader? How will you get those with different positions, prioritize cooperation, for the common good?

3. Heal; hope: Will you focus on healing wounds, or will you be someone who throws salt in those wounds? What are you willing to do, to heal, rather than polarize? Can you balance positive hope, with being realistic, rational, and creating a workable, action plan?

4. Intent; integrity; ideas: Are your intentions pure and in the best interest of those you serve, and will you transform a strategy to steps to get things done? Do you have the ability to introduce relevant ideas, or are you one those, whose best idea is the last, great idea, he heard someone else say? Above all, will you maintain absolute integrity, throughout everything you do, so you avoid over-promising, especially when you lack a plan of action?

5. Evolving; effective: Life is constantly evolving, so if you want to truly lead, you must be ready, willing and able to evolve constantly. Remain open to alternatives! If you are to achieve your objectives, it requires more than merely having a limited plan, but rather a fully-developed one, including contingency and back-up plans. Planning is only meaningful, when is well-considered, and effective.

6. Vibrant, vital vision: What energy will you bring forth, to energize others to rally around your visions? Have you considered the relationship between your vision, the group's mission, and how society, and your group, has evolved?

7. Enhance; empower; excite; enthuse: Never settle for good-enough! Enhance your planning, in a relevant, sustainable manner. Empower those you lead, to develop a bond with your organization, and to feel empowered to be part of something important! Be realistic, but seek to excite others! Remember, your enthusiasm, or lack thereof, often is contagious, and determines how others feel, and behave!

If you hope to select the right person to lead, you must ask the right questions, and listen carefully and closely to what they plan to do. Differentiate between promises/rhetoric, and a quality action plan, and get to understand how someone will ACHIEVE his stated vision.

Is Gaming Becoming a Sport in the United States?

Is Gaming Becoming a Sport in the United States?

Is Gaming Becoming a Sport in the United States?
By Timothy A Gradel

The amount of video game use we see in society today is arguably inescapable. Mobile games such as; Candy Crush, Game of War, or Clash of Clans, record daily revenues in the millions, and someone is bound to recognize one if not all of these game names. This exposure to gaming in everyday light seems to be bringing in a new and unseen age in gaming, where gaming could be seen as a sport.

Ever since the first two people booted up "Pong" on the Atari 2600, gaming has been competitive. When you think about it, playing a game of soccer and playing a video game aren't all that different. The object is always to win the game but the level of competition and players in the game can vary. Growing up I played Call of Duty on a fairly competitive level but I had no idea how big the competitive gaming industry would grow to be. The growth in this industry can be traced to a number of factors. The financial growth in the gaming industry has been incredible. The recent stance that "nerd culture" has taken in the popular media through means such as The Big Bang Theory. The push by people who genuinely enjoy gaming culture and want to see it get a spot in the limelight has brought gaming into everyday life for the general public.

So what is causing video games to turn into a source of entertainment that people would watch from home like they would football or soccer? The answers might surprise you. In July of 2014 "Defense of the Ancients" or DOTA was played by teams around the world for a community raised prize pool totaling $10,923,980 U.S. dollars. Teams of five would play against one another and eliminate the competition as they moved towards the grand finals and the ultimate prize of first place. While this was the fourth tournament of this type hosted by the games creators, it was the first time it was televised by ESPN 3. ESPN was pleased so much by the results of the coverage they agreed to follow up the next year. It is crazy to think that within the next few years we might see coverage of video games on Sports Center. Unlike ESPN which is only showing you content on competitive gaming during big tournaments, streaming is available all the time. Twitch TV being the main website that comes to mind. Streaming sites allow content creators to show what is happening live on their computers to audiences who can join in the conversation with a chat group function as they watch their favorite steamers/players play live. The potential for growth through an avenue like this is enormous. Just think, you could watch a TV show and chat with fellow fans of the show from all around the world with great ease, all while being able to communicate with content creators.

We know what is bringing gaming into the sports arena, but what is keeping it out? Well it is just not quite time for electronic sports (E-Sports) to become a household name, at least not in the United States. South Korea may be an example of what is to come in terms of E-Sports in the United States. Say the name "Star Craft" and nine times out of ten, a Korean will know what you are referring to. The game Star Craft is practically a national past time of South Korea. The game is featured on cable television and is even featured on a few apps offered by Microsoft's Xbox, which is a direct competitor to the PC gaming market that Star Craft belongs to. Players in Korea are treated like celebrities, signing autographs, taking pictures with fans, and appearing on talk shows from time to time. Now if I were to tell this to the average American, more than likely the response would be along the lines of "Are you serious?" It's that big of a deal over there?" Yes, E-Sports in Korea and to a lesser degree, China and Japan are already booming industries. So why hasn't gaming already become a large industry in the United States where most of these games are made? Americans tend to like different games than the Asian players do. Americans tend to like fast paced shooters, such as Call of Duty or Counter Strike, while Asian players tend to favor strategic games such as Star Craft or DOTA. The problem with shooters is that less strategy is involved. Think of the two genres as an approach to an American football game. While both genres have a well-defined goal like in football the strategic games feature ways to counter movements of other players or their choice of how to move toward their goal via tech choices or character choices. In football, if the defense sends a blitz, you try to counter that blitz by getting the ball to a receiver who is open, or run the ball in the opposite direction of the blitz. There is no correct way to approach the defense's strategy, and the offense can still make choices on how to approach the situation. The same cannot be said about shooters, there simply isn't enough depth in gameplay to give watchers new ideas about how they can apply techniques used by professionals into their own gameplay.

Professional gaming is on its way to becoming a real sport in the United States. With air times on ESPN and through the popularization of gaming in everyday life within five or ten years we might see a good chunk of people walking around with E-sport's team jerseys. Due to the trends of gaming in the U.S. it will likely take radical changes in gameplay to keep viewers watching and to get more of the public interested, but it is feasible. It will take the work of dedicated fans of the sport to push gaming further into the public eye but from what we have seen in the past few years it's clear that gaming will be considered a sport in the near future.

How to Get Sponsored - Provide Your Company With the ROI Needed by Giving the Right Exposure & Value

How to Get Sponsored - Provide Your Company With the ROI Needed by Giving the Right Exposure & Value

How to Get Sponsored - Provide Your Company With the ROI Needed by Giving the Right Exposure & Value
By Roberto C Candelaria

When it comes to getting sponsored, something I've seen "make or break" a deal more than once is when all involved parties can't define what value means to them.

One thing that will always be on the minds of companies looking to provide corporate sponsorships is: "will this provide my company with the exposure or ROI we need?"

If you're wondering how to get sponsored, you could potentially save yourself a lot of rejections, and improve your chances of a long, successful relationship, by taking a moment to consider the ROI your sponsor will receive.

Here are 3 ways to help give value to your sponsors and help them reach their business goals.

1. Conversation: Sending out a sponsorship proposal to every brand you want to work with doesn't work anymore. While this was the old-school way of getting sponsored, gone are the days of a sponsor simply signing a check because you asked.

How to get sponsored: Take time to know your potential sponsors and invest time and effort into getting to know more about them and their goals. Instead of randomly sending a cookie-cutter sponsorship proposal with the same pricing and benefits to everyone, create a conversation with your potential sponsors. The purpose of this conversation is to educate on how your property could be a good fit for them and to understand their business goals and objectives.

2. Customization: I've always written customized sponsorship proposals as opposed to the typical "boring" proposal that people often use when learning how to get sponsored. Why? Well, I learned that brands were tired of the same cookie-cutter type of sponsorship proposal that listed the same benefits with different prices on a large percentage of sponsorship proposals that crossed their desk. They wanted customization. They wanted sponsorship proposals that helped them reach their goals. Corporate Sponsors receive hundreds, if not thousands, of sponsorship proposals requesting their assistance and funding.

How to get sponsored: Be the proposal that gets seen by creating a customized sponsorship proposal with customized benefits and pricing to help your sponsors get the exposure and value they're looking for.

3. Connection: It has often been said that "no man is an island", and that also applies to sponsorship. Most businesses and organizations will want to get sponsored by more than one brand at a time. Frankly, if they're a fit, I highly recommend it. A mistake that I first made in sponsorship was not connecting my sponsors prior to the "go-live" date of whatever sponsorship property I was working. When we'd get to the event, book tour, or non-profit function... I realized most of our sponsors didn't know each other and I'd spend most of the VIP reception making introductions. Was this bad, NO! Is there a better way, YES!

How to get sponsored: A great way to bring both exposure and value to your sponsors is to introduce to them to your other sponsors. Facilitating these introductions allows you to "be the star" in making sure that your sponsors get to meet other non-competing brands who are sponsoring properties within the same niche or space. They're eventually going to meet, be the one to make that introduction! Oh, and you never know, they could possibly come up with additional ideas for a cross-promotion to get you even more exposure! It's a win/win/win!

Which Do You Prefer - British Classics or American Muscle?

Which Do You Prefer - British Classics or American Muscle?

Which Do You Prefer - British Classics or American Muscle?
By Tony Merrygold

I never really understood why Americans developed such a love for our British Sportcars. For Brits of my generation it is obvious as we grew up with them. In the late 50s and early 60s there were very few foreign cars on UK roads, a few Renaults and Citroens and the inevitable VW Beetles. Japanese cars didn't start getting imported until 1965 and it was only in the 1970s and 1980s when a combination of strong unions, bad management and bad quality saw them really have an impact on the UK manufacturers. For a while there were probably as many American cars in the UK as German, as we had a lot of US bases all over the country and many GIs imported US cars.

I have known for years that about 75% of production of Austin Healey, Jaguar, MG and Triumph went to the US but it is only now that I own two American classics that I think I understand why British cars are loved so much.

To illustrate this I think it is worthwhile doing a straight comparison with a couple of the classics that I have owned and driven. My favourite car by a long way is my 1970 Jaguar SII E-Type. I am now on my 3rd E-Type having progressed up the value chain from a SII 2+2, the least desirable version, to a SII coupe and now to a SII Roadster. 1964 saw the S1 E-Types evolving from the original design with the 4.2 litre engine replacing the 3.8, a Jaguar gearbox replacing the appalling Moss one, brakes being upgraded and a decent servo installed and good supportive seats replacing the original bucket ones. 1964 saw the launch of the Ford Mustang in the US and my 1st American Muscle Car is a 1965 Mustang Fastback GT, so I believe it is fair to compare these two.

I will ignore the fact that the Ford Mustang is a 2+2 v the 2 seater E-Type and concentrate on the technology and driving. Both cars have similar power outputs - Mustang 250 bhp, E-Type 265 bhp, both have 4 speed manual gearboxes and the weights are pretty close. There the similarities end. The Mustang has a solid rear axle on good old fashioned cart springs and single Macpherson strut suspension for each front wheel. The E-Type has double wishbone front suspension and fully independent rear suspension. Ford offered various braking options: drums all round; drums plus a servo or drums on the rear and disks on the front - which ours has. For some inexplicable reason Ford didn't think the driver would need disks and a servo. E-Types have disk brakes on all four wheels and a servo as standard - right from their launch in 1961.

It is this combination of fully independent suspension and decent brakes that make the E-Type completely outclass the Mustang, which is pretty fast in a straight line with 0-60 being only 1 second slower than the E-Type. Sadly the myth that American muscle cars were not designed to go round corners seems fairly accurate. The basic suspension is responsible for a soft ride and lots of body roll, speed really needs to be scrubbed off to get round even the gentlest of bends. The E-Type will easily leave the Mustang standing on any winding country road.

Over the years technology improved a bit so it is worth comparing our 1974 Triumph TR6 with my 2nd American muscle car - a 1978 C3 Corvette Special Edition Indy Pace Car. The TR6 develops 125 bhp from its Lucas injected 6 cylinder 2.5 litre engine while the Vette develops 220 bhp from its V8 which is more than twice the size at 5.7 litres (350 ci). This engine has to drag along about 50% more weight than the TR6 - 3,624 lbs v 2,410 lbs but does manage to carry it to 60 mph about 1 seconds quicker. Top speed of the Vette is only 5 mph faster than the TR6. Not a huge difference for all that extra horse power and fuel consumption.

The TR6 has a 4 speed manual gearbox with overdrive giving it 6 gears while the Vette has a 3 speed auto box which doesn't rev very high, even with the accelerator flat on the floor.

Both the Vette and TR6 have independent rear suspension so the road holding on both is better than the 1965 Mustang but not as good as the E-Type. The Vette has disk brakes on all four wheels and a servo v the TR6 front disks and servo. To help handle the weight of the cast engine V8 engine block our Vette has power steering which while it makes life really easy loses all feedback to the driver.

We take our cars on track when possible on a classic car tour and our Etype would leave the Mustang standing. I haven't yet taken the Corvette on track and while it will be quick off the line I am sure that the TR6 will see it off in the corners as it is much lighter and more nimble.

The two American muscle cars do have a few things going for them: that unique V8 burble, straight line speed and their ability to attract attention. There is also no doubt that the success of the Mustang (1 Million cars sold in 18 months) is unlikely ever to be matched again and Ford with their huge options list did more to push the idea of the 'personal car' than anyone else.

But our TR6 and Etype are much better driver's cars, better road holding, better braking, more nimble and much more fun.

This can all be summarised by the split in the age range of who appreciates which car. The American cars tend to attract the attention of 30 somethings who have grown up with American films like Grease and High School Musical. The E-Type and TR6 tend to attract the attention of 40 and 50 somethings who grew up with them in the UK.

It would interesting to see a remake of Grease with 'Greased Lightning' being based on an E-Type!

How to Get Perfectly Toasted Buns

How to Get Perfectly Toasted Buns

How to Get Perfectly Toasted Buns
By Stana Peete

Who doesn't enjoy a tasty burger on toasted buns? I'm sure that's all of us. Restaurants that serve burger meals are in a very competitive industry because their burgers must be better and very tasty. In addition, you need to have consistency when it comes to the delivery of the burger meals. What you serve to one customer today needs to be the same when you serve it to another customer next week. One way to guarantee consistency is to invest in quality catering equipment which has measures and timers in place such as the Anvil Vertical Bun Toaster.

The Anvil Vertical Bun Toaster is an ideal piece of catering equipment that has a compact small footprint so it can be placed on a countertop in any sized kitchen. The twin feed system allows you to prepare twice as many buns because you can feed two buns into the machine at a time until it is full. This bun toaster has 6 position thickness settings that control the toasting process and heating surface. It has a heavy duty stainless steel wire conveyor system that is durable and reliable for daily use. For a smooth operation, this bun toaster is manufactured with precision cartridge bearing conveyor shafts. It also includes a bun exit chute that is reversible and allows for front or rear access, plus it is supplied with a Teflon release sheet that fits over the plate element.

If you are looking for an energy saving catering equipment, the Anvil Vertical Bun Toaster is designed with low energy consumption in mind. It only uses 0.75 kilowatts per hour and the aluminum heating plate uses a mere 2 kilowatts. You're also able to control the temperature with the variable heating control which ranges from 50 to 300 degrees Celsius. If you have many buns to toast, you can set the heating control at the desired setting. Once you know the perfect heat setting for your buns, you can use the same setting at all times. That way you can be sure that the buns are all toasted evenly and consistently every day.

A perfectly toasted bun brings out all the flavors of the burger. This catering equipment is able to give you consistently golden brown buns with a seared finish. It is this seared finish which minimizes the amount of juices that are soaked up in the bun, thus the burger will stay firm and delicious.

5 Ways to Recover From Terrible Failure

5 Ways to Recover From Terrible Failure 5 Ways to Recover From Terrible Failure
By Phillip Ramphisa

Failure can cause one to lose confidence and motivation. Failure can sometimes wreck havoc on our emotions and make us feel depressed. What is worse is that after failing most of us do not always wish to try again because of the negative emotions that we feel. Failure makes us avoid trying again. This can happen on a conscious and unconscious level. It is thus important that you manage what you perceive as failure well in your life to ensure that failure doesn't affect you on an unconscious level and affect your future performance as you try and achieve your goals. Some of the emotions that we experience that affect our ability to take action to create the outcomes that we seek are due to past failures. These emotions may include fear, self-doubt and a lack of confidence.
I have developed a few ways that you can use in your life to recover from failure and heal yourself so that your past failures do not affect your future performance. Here they are:
1. Manage emotions using acceptance
What we perceive as failure can cause us to have a lot of emotional strain. We may experience emotions ranging from anger to sadness and resentment depending on what the situation is. After failing it is not always possible to keep these emotions from affecting us. To recover from failure and keep these emotions under control you need to use acceptance. You need to accept that things did not go well and that there might be consequences to be dealt with from whatever that has happened. Depending on the situation, consequences as the result of failure might vary -; you might be criticised, you might be held accountable, you might have lost money, you might lose your self-confidence, you might lose your job or business. Whatever it is and whatever the consequences are, drive yourself towards acceptance because this is the only way in which you will better find creative solutions to the challenges that you might be facing. It is tempting when we face challenges to dwell on the emotional pain, to think and go over what ifs but ultimately we have no choice but to make decisions and act if we are to change our circumstances.
2. View failure as an isolated incident not an inclusive incident
In our lives sometimes we have what I call "cross contamination". When one area of our lives isn't working as well we wish it could, the unhappiness and emotional strain that we experience from the area which isn't working well gets carried across other areas of our lives. We begin to feel like nothing else in our lives is working. Cross contamination causes us to carry emotional strain from work or business to our family lives and ultimately to our health and well being. The opposite can happen as emotional strain from our family lives can sometimes extend to our workplace and ultimately our well being depending on how we respond to the problems that we face.
You need to view the specific failure that you are recovering from as an isolated incident in order to stop this from straining other areas in your life. This is not easy to do as sometimes having a bad day at work can mean a bad evening with the family or vice versa. However, if you learn to better manage your emotions and isolate problems in various areas of your life, you might be in a better position to prevent emotional strain from one area of your life to cross contaminate all other areas of your life. This can only be done through improved self-awareness and emotional discipline.
Sometimes failing in a specific area can make you feel as if you failing at everything. You need to be aware that failure in a specific area in your life doesn't mean that you will fail on every other area. So see each failure as specific and not inclusive.
3. View failure as feedback from your specific actions
After following step 1 and 2 above you should begin to be in a better emotional state to think constructively about what went wrong and what has not worked well to cause the outcomes that you did not want. With this improved emotional state you should now use failure as a learning by analyzing what really went wrong and what actions you could have taken to improve your results. Most failures are due to a lack of planning, processes that did not work well, unforeseen circumstances, failure to be pro-active and so on. This is now time for you to diagnose what didn't work with clear emotions and an open mind. So assess what went wrong and identify things that need to be improved for you to create better results in the future.
4. Commit to new actions
After diagnosing your failure and receiving feedback from it you need to commit yourself to new actions in order to fully recover from your failure. Ask yourself what you will do and no longer do as a result of the feedback you received from your failure then commit yourself to new resolutions. You can list things you will do such as early planning, better communication, improve processes etc. Listing things that you will no longer do that might have caused you to fail is as important. So also list things that you will not do in the future such as procrastinating, avoiding administrative work, communicating poorly and so on.
What is important to note is that committing to new actions will also give you an emotional boost and hope. Often when we are in distress just thinking of the next practical step to take is enough to help us have hope for better future results.
5. Remember your past successes
Remembering things you did well in the past can help you gather strength to recover from immediate failure. Have things worked well in the past? Is there historical performance that you can look to and be proud of? if so, list these great achievements and performances and make them more prominent in your mind. Remember how you felt when things worked well and rekindle these feelings to gather strength to overcome present challenges. This will help you regain your self-confidence as you plan how to better deal with the future.
Imagine what your life would be like if you had self-confidence and did not hesitate to act and create all the outcomes that you want in life. Picture yourself believing in yourself and becoming exactly who you want to be. A successful man or woman who is happy doing things that he or she loves and has great relationships. No more would you have to suffer from second guessing yourself and taking the back seat, criticizing yourself or enduring the pain of those that criticize you and do not appreciate you...

How To Improve Confidence

How To Improve Confidence

How To Improve Confidence
By Ivana Franekova

In my practice as a Life Coach & CBT Therapist, most issues clients come with will have low self-confidence attached to it in some form. If it's someone who wants to do better at work, there will be a confidence problem holding him back. Or a person wanting to achieve better work-life balance, only to discover the work is really a 'comfort zone' and the need for more 'social life' is not what he really wants deep down. When the client presents a goal in this form, we call it an 'imposed belief'. It means the person feels he 'should' do something rather than what he really wants because friends and family members tell him to. The person won't be ready for change until underlying issues are examined and addressed. The first step towards increasing confidence in someone who is stuck in his or her comfort zone is realizing it and admitting it.

People are often amazed they lack confidence in certain areas, whilst overflowing with confidence in other areas. This is perfectly normal. You might find you're 100% confident as a manager in your job, but when you're facing the prospect of chatting someone new in the bar, you turn into a nervous wreck. Why is that, you wonder?

There is not one simple answer to that. The reasons often lie in our past, relating to traumas and negative experience we have been trough. For instance, if you're suffering from a crippling lack of confidence when it comes to delivering a presentation in front of your colleagues, look back at your life and try to remember the situation you first felt like this in. Was it at school? Did your parents say something that hurt you and that memory is now affecting your performance? Or does someone at your office remind you of a negative person from your past? What happened in that particular situation?

Inner confidence starts with 'being aware' and being honest with yourself. Ask yourself why that particular area is affected. In confidence coaching, I use a range of therapy tools and exercises to target areas of low self-confidence, drawing on existing resources from where the confidence is already flowing. Each of us has our own resources to a healthy self-confidence because we successfully apply them to some areas; it's learning how to add to them, adjust & apply them to the affected areas that will make a lasting change.

Many people are overly critical of themselves. They live in constant envy of others who 'seem to have it all', not realising these people have their own problems too. People who are trying to excel in every area of life are setting themselves up for a fall. No-one can be perfect and no-one can do it all. And when they can't, they add a new 'failure' to their list of already long self-esteem (often incorrectly identified) issues.

The truth is, everyone experiences situations and problems that will lead to a blow to their self-confidence. But it's how we deal with those problems and choosing how to feel about them that makes a difference. Confident people smile; they hold eye contact; they dress well; they hold their heads up- and yes, they do these things even if they don't feel confident. It's a 'fake it until you make it' belief that drives them.

Our body and mind are very closely linked. Try this exercise: sit down, let your body go limp, look at the floor and curl your mouth downwards. Now try to feel joy! It's not possible, is it?

What about this: stand up, stretch your arms high up to the ceiling, look up and smile. Now try to feel sad! Almost impossible, wasn't it? That's because our minds react to our body postures. These two above postures I described were 'assigned' to our feelings in the past, even as far as our childhood.

My advice to you is:

Ask for help if you feel you need help. Increase your confidence by learning more about yourself & why you react to certain situations in certain way. Don't be afraid to leverage the tasks at home and at work, and don't be afraid to admit you can't do something. It's OK to say 'no'.

Truvision Review: Can You Really Make Money With Truvision?

Truvision Review: Can You Really Make Money With Truvision?

Truvision Review: Can You Really Make Money With Truvision?
By Dustin A Hale

Truvision is a multi-level marketing company in the health and nutrition or wellness industry and was founded in 2014 with a mission to provide quality products for health and weight management as well as change people's lives with their business or income opportunity. During this review I will list some of the products or things the company offers as well providing a brief explanation for each, examine their business or income opportunity to discover if you can really make money, go over the cost to get started, and wrap it up with my final thoughts or opinion over the entire company. By the end of this review you will be able to decide whether or not Truvision is for you!

The Thing:

Truvision is in the health and nutrition or wellness industry so it's pretty obvious that they offer health related products. The categories in which their products are listed are TruHealth, TruNecessity, and TruEssentials. I will discuss one product from each category below!

  1. TruFix - This product is in the TruHealth category and is designed to maintain liver function and healthy blood sugar.

  2. TruSlumber - This product is in the TruNecessity category and is designed to provide better sleep quality and renew focus and energy while having no harmful side effects.

  3. TruDefense - In the TruEssentials category this product is an oil contains anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties boosting your immune system so you either don't get sick or get sick much less.

The Opportunity:

The question still remains; can you really make money with Truvision's business or income opportunity? In order to discover our answer I will go over and examine some things from their compensation plan. There are 5 total ways you could earn commission with Truvision! I will briefly explain 3 of them below!

  1. Retail Profit - This is a commission payout on the 10th of every month. There is no percentage to explain this payout. It's simply the difference between the retail cost and the associates cost. As an example, you will be able to purchase a product for $20 and then re-sell it for $40 and simply keep the difference.

  2. Fast Pack Bonus - From this payout you are able to earn money from personally enrolled members purchasing a Fast Start Pack for up to 4 levels. All levels one members you enroll that purchase one of these packs you will get paid 20% commission from that purchase, second level earnings of 10%, third level earnings of 5%, and fourth level earnings of 5% as well.

  3. Global Bonus Pool - This is the largest type of payout offered in the entire industry! If you achieve a 5 Star Director level in the company you will be eligible to earn 3% of the entire company's worldwide sales.

To Conclude, Yes, You Can Make Money From Truvision's Business Or Income Opportunity!

The Cost:

In order to join Truvision, get discounted prices on their products or things, and make money with their business or income opportunity you have to set up shop by opening your own Truvision type business. There are 6 packs you can purchase to get started with them and begin making money! I will go over 3 of them below!

  1. TruElevate - This is the cheapest option out of the 6 options at $112 and includes 60 TruFix capsules, 30 TruElevate capsules, and 30 TruElevate smoothie sticks.

  2. Take10 - This option is kind of in the middle range in terms of cost at $165 and includes TruFix, TruWeight And Energy, and 10 sample boxes.

  3. TruSuccessPack - This is the most expensive option I see out of the 6 costing $298 and includes their Heart and Hydration product, Simply Clean, TruFuel, TruFix, TruWeight and Energy, TruSlumber, 7 TruFix and TruWeight and Energy samples, and 7 TruFuel samples!

Final Thoughts:

The products they offer are pretty neat but not very original. There are a plethora of companies in this industry that offer the same type of products. You would have to use the products yourself as well as others and decide which one works best for you. However, since there are so many other companies offering the same type of products, competition to make money marketing the products or thing or the company is fierce! You definitely can make money with this company but you have to be dedicated and commitment to go up against the competition and prove exactly why your products are better! Be sure to be ethical when doing this! Nobody likes shady marketers and they always tend to fail miserably as well anyway. The cost is fantastic! They have 6 or more options you can choose from to begin immediately! Additionally, all of their prices are remarkably cheap! Their most expensive option is at $298 and if you think that's a tough price to start a business I suggest you look into opening up a Subway in which cost around $30-50 thousand dollars! The cost for all of their options is definitely something that catches the eye!
